Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to products and services supplied under the Dashcam Singapore brand by Dashcam Singapore Pte. Ltd. and/or DCS Auto Group Pte. Ltd., as applicable.
The legal entity responsible for a particular transaction is the entity identified on the customer's invoice, receipt or other transaction document.
References in these Terms & Conditions to “Dashcam Singapore”, “DCS”, “we”, “us” or “our” refer to the applicable entity providing the relevant product or service.
By purchasing a product, making a payment, booking or proceeding with an installation or service, the customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions and our applicable Warranty Policy.
1. Orders, Payments & Deposits
All prices are in Singapore Dollars unless otherwise stated.
Deposits may be required to confirm appointments, reserve products or place special orders. Deposits are generally non-refundable once stock has been reserved, ordered or work has commenced, except where otherwise agreed by us or required by applicable law.
Products that have been installed, used, activated, registered or specially ordered are generally not eligible for change-of-mind returns or exchanges.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any rights a customer may have under applicable Singapore law.
2. Product & Vehicle Compatibility
Customers are responsible for providing accurate vehicle details, including make, model, year and variant, where required.
Compatibility information provided before installation is based on information reasonably available to us at the time. Vehicle specifications, wiring, software, factory equipment and previous modifications may vary between vehicles, including vehicles of the same model.
If we discover during installation that additional components, labour or modifications are required, we will inform the customer where reasonably practicable before proceeding with additional chargeable work.
Where installation is not reasonably practicable or may create an unacceptable risk to the vehicle, we reserve the right to decline or discontinue the installation.
3. Installation
Our technicians will exercise reasonable care and skill when carrying out installation work.
Customers acknowledge that installation of aftermarket automotive accessories may require access to vehicle trim, panels, wiring, fuse boxes, electrical systems or other components.
Where applicable, customers will be advised on suitable installation methods, power sources, accessories and protection options.
By proceeding with the installation, the customer acknowledges the installation configuration and relevant options advised.
4. Existing Vehicle Condition
Our installation warranty applies to work performed by Dashcam Singapore and does not constitute a warranty over the customer's entire vehicle or its existing electrical, electronic or mechanical systems.
Vehicles may have pre-existing conditions including ageing components, weakened batteries, previous wiring modifications, damaged clips or trim, electrical faults, software issues or work performed by other parties.
Dashcam Singapore is not responsible for faults arising from pre-existing conditions, normal deterioration, manufacturer-related issues or unrelated vehicle components unless the fault is determined to have been directly caused by our workmanship.
Customers should inform us before installation of any known vehicle faults, modifications or unusual electrical behaviour.
5. Vehicle Electrical System & Battery
Automotive electronic accessories require electrical power and may introduce additional electrical load to the vehicle.
Products with parking, standby or monitoring functions may continue consuming power while the vehicle is switched off.
Where applicable, voltage protection, power management settings or other safeguards may be used to reduce excessive discharge. These measures cannot guarantee the condition, performance or lifespan of the vehicle battery.
Vehicle battery performance is affected by factors including battery age and condition, vehicle usage, driving frequency, parking duration, vehicle electronics and environmental conditions.
Where appropriate, an external battery pack or alternative power solution may be recommended to reduce reliance on the vehicle battery.
A subsequent vehicle battery fault or replacement does not by itself establish that the installed product or installation caused the fault. Where a customer believes an issue is related to our installation, we should be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and diagnose the vehicle.
6. Aftermarket Products & Vehicle Features
Aftermarket products may operate differently from original factory equipment.
Certain factory functions, displays, controls, warning systems, vehicle settings or features may not be supported by an aftermarket product unless specifically confirmed.
Some installations may require additional interfaces, CANBUS modules, adapters, casings, wiring or other accessories.
Software updates performed by vehicle manufacturers, product manufacturers or third parties may also affect compatibility or functionality after installation.
7. Inspection After Installation
Customers are encouraged to inspect the installed product and vehicle upon collection and inform our team immediately of any visible concerns.
Any issue reasonably suspected to be related to our installation should be reported to us as soon as practicable.
Where appropriate, we will inspect the vehicle and determine whether the issue relates to the installed product, our workmanship, the vehicle itself or another cause.
8. Third-Party Work or Modification
Where a customer believes an issue may have resulted from our installation, the customer should give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect the vehicle before engaging another party to dismantle, modify, repair or rectify our installation.
We cannot be responsible for costs incurred through third-party diagnosis, repair, replacement or rectification unless such costs were authorised by us in advance or otherwise required by applicable law.
Warranty coverage may be affected where our installation or the installed product has subsequently been altered, removed, rewired, repaired or tampered with by another party and that work affects our ability to determine the original cause of the issue.
9. Troubleshooting & Diagnostic Charges
Basic troubleshooting may be provided at our discretion.
Where diagnosis requires technical labour, dismantling of vehicle panels, access to wiring or fuse boxes, removal of installed equipment, testing of electrical systems or extended troubleshooting, a diagnostic or labour charge may apply.
Where reasonably practicable, customers will be informed of applicable charges before chargeable diagnostic work proceeds.
A diagnostic fee may still apply where no fault is found with the product or installation, or where the issue is determined to be unrelated to work performed by Dashcam Singapore.
10. Product Performance & Recording Devices
Dashcams and other recording devices are intended to assist with recording events but cannot guarantee that every event, image, sound, impact or incident will be successfully captured or stored.
Customers remain responsible for periodically checking that their devices are operating correctly and that storage media is functioning.
Recording may be affected by factors including storage media condition, settings, power supply, environmental conditions, software, impact detection and equipment limitations.
Important recordings should be backed up promptly.
11. Data, Applications & Connectivity
Certain products may rely on third-party applications, mobile devices, operating systems, mobile networks, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cloud services or other third-party technology.
Availability and functionality of these services may change and may be outside our control.
Customers are responsible for maintaining their own accounts, passwords, mobile devices, data plans and backups where applicable.
Unless caused directly by our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill, we are not responsible for loss or corruption of recordings, settings, applications or other data.
12. Collection of Vehicle
Customers should inspect their vehicle and installed products upon collection where reasonably possible.
Vehicles left at our premises should be collected within the agreed or reasonably notified period.
Dashcam Singapore is not responsible for personal belongings left inside the vehicle except to the extent that loss or damage is directly caused by our failure to exercise reasonable care.
13. Warranty
Products and installation workmanship supplied by Dashcam Singapore are covered according to our applicable Warranty Policy.
Warranty periods vary by product and are stated on the sales invoice, product listing or Warranty Policy where applicable.
Warranty coverage does not extend the manufacturer's vehicle warranty or constitute a warranty over components of the vehicle that we did not supply or install.
14. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dashcam Singapore will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that are not reasonably attributable to a defect in a product supplied by us or our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.
Any assessment of responsibility for damage to a vehicle will take into account the circumstances of the incident, the condition of the vehicle, subsequent work performed and whether the damage was directly caused by our product or workmanship.
15. Promotions, Free Gifts & Special Offers
Promotions, discounts, bundles and free gifts are subject to their stated promotional terms, availability and validity periods.
Unless otherwise stated, promotional items and free gifts have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Warranty coverage for promotional products and free gifts may differ from the main purchased product and will be stated where applicable.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our products, services, business operations or applicable requirements.
The terms applicable to a transaction will generally be those in effect at the time of the transaction, unless otherwise required by law or agreed between the customer and Dashcam Singapore.
17. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any statutory rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable Singapore law.
18. Contact & Assistance
If you experience an issue with a product or installation, please contact Dashcam Singapore and provide your invoice or receipt, vehicle details and a description of the issue.
Where the issue may be installation-related, please allow us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and diagnose the vehicle before third-party rectification work is undertaken.
